Ishta devata

Hi... I tried to find out my ishta devata using horoscope but am not sure if it is accurate.

I would be very grateful if someone can let me know abt it.

DOB- 10-Aug-1980
Place of birth- Giridih ( Jharkhand )
Time of birth- 03:45 (3:45 a.m.)

12th from AK is Cancer - no planets placed in there - so take the lord Moon.

So your Ishta Devata would be Lord Sri Krishna.

Can you please clarify me on one thing..?
On what basis my AK is Mars..I mean how do we know abt it ?
Also, Lord of cancer ( Moon )..ishta devata can be Lord Krishna/Shiva..
or only Lord Krishna..?
Also..what would be my dharma devata then..?

Dear Pankaj,

Atmakaraka is the planet that is most traversed in a rasi within the chart - one which has the maximum longitude for clockwise moving planets or minimum longitude for anticlockwise moving planets (like Rahu).

Which planets signify which Ishta Devata is defined in the Brihat Parasara hora sastra - Using that Moon associates with Krishna.
We start by seeing the planets in the 12th from AK - if no planets then take the lord.

Dharma Devata is 9th from AK - same way planets in the 9th from AK or else 9th lord.

Dear Shiva,

If you are a hanuman devotee..it is better to continue with that.Please dont meddle with it mid way.it all depends on how you establish a communion with the deity you worship.Whom you worship does not matter in the final analysis,but just your love and surrender does.
