Child birth in pitra paksha - Please reply

Dear experts in this forum,

My first baby's due date falls in pitra paksha (due date is Sept 26 2010, the birth can happen a few days before or after).

Is there any reason to worry about it? Is birth in Pitra Paksha considered inauspicious?

Dear hr_21_2001,

Though wikipedia is mentioning this as an inauspicious due to death related rituals - I personally think that is a flawed view of our culture and what the ritual stands for.

Pitru Paksha is about honoring the past, remembering your ancestors, feeding them and repaying the debt to the ancestors.

So with this basis - This is a period when people are doing good, positive things - so it is a highly auspicious time.

Again with or without my opinion on this - pitru paksha
As far as possible - let the nature take its own course in matters of birth and death and you personally be free from judging good time - bad time etc.,
