The Four Most Important Divisional Charts

Postby Khoo Hock Leong » Wed May 20, 2009 12:44 pm

Hi

The four most importat divisional charts are D-1 (Rasi), D-9 (Navamsa), D-60 (Shashtyamsa) and D-10 (Dasamsa). Aside from planetary placements, what is most important is that the signs overlaying these four charts must be synchronised in such a way that they are overlaying in the correct houses. This would then produce the requird MAGNIFIED effects.

Hence people who are born a few minutes difference, even their planetary placements are the same, or their Rasi charts are similar, can have different fates and fortunes.

How must the synchronicity amongst the 4 charts be evaluated?

(1) General Rule is that the SAME triplicity of the signs overlaying the D-1, D-9, D-60 and D-10 must either be on the trinal houses or earth houses.

(2) Point (1) is only a general rule.

(a) For D-1, the triplicity of signs mentioned can overlay the earth or trinal house.

But overlaying the trinal house would have a better edge provided it is connected to the Earth Houses through planetary lordships (the Water and Earth Ascendants) or planetary placements.

However, if the triplicity of signs concerned is overlaying the earth houses without any relation with the trinal houses either through planetary lordships (the Fire and Air Ascendants) or planetary placements, it does give a person able to fructify whatever efforts he has put in to his work in this world but diligence is required as luck would play a minimal factor.

(b) For D-9, it is better the triplicity of signs mentioned be overlaying the trinal house for luck (D-9 is luck, so cash in on it).

(c) For D-10, the triplicy of signs mentioned should overlay the earth houses (D-10 after all is a career house).

(d) For D-60, the divisional chart of Karma, if the triplicity of signs mentioned is overlaying trinal houses, the person's life is made smoother overall in whatever he does as indicated by D-1, D-9 and D-10. If the sign concerned is overlaying earth houses, it gives a more telling sign of the person's material success in his current life.

Thanks.

Two More Follow-up Points

Postby Khoo Hock Leong » Wed May 20, 2009 9:53 pm

Hi

Two additional points for dealing with special circumstance or adding strength to the analysis procedure above :

(1) If one is looking at the charts in terms of business propsects, you should replace the above procedure whenever there is a reference to the triplicity of the sign overlaying the earth houses with the triplicity of the sign overlaying the air houses. The air houses are concerned with business. However, remember :

(a) The point about the trinal houses sharing lordship with the air houses does not apply in this case as both of these two sets of houses are two houses apart so they can never share the same lordship.

(b) At least one of the charts must still have the triplicty of the sign overlaying the earth houses, preferably Rasi or Dasamsa to provide for stability of the business.

(2) Another chart you can bring in into the analysis besides the 4 charts above is the Jagganatha Drekkana (D-3) - remember it is NOT the Parasara's Drekkana.

For this chart the overlay of the triplicity of the sign cncerned ie. the one which we are talking above, should overlay the earth houses in this chart. This divisional chart deals with efforts and action so it is the earth houses which causes frutification of results. Do not bring in the trinal or air houses. Trinal houses play a less important role in this chart.

So if you have the Earth houses correctly overlaid by the sign concerned in this Drekkana chart, then the point above about looking for business prospects, you can use this chart to satisfy the condition that at least one chart must still be overlaid by the earth houses (see 1(b) above for this current post).

Thanks.

Dear Hock,

What exactly do you mean by "Triplicity of Signs"?

We know the functional malefic and benefic for each lagna based on house lord ship. Also we know the compound relationship between planets from each other.

Two planets could be each other's natural enemies but turn out to be friends and should their aspects be considers of friends on each other ?

Question : Do we use same sets for friends for Divisional charts ? I mean we could have Aq lagna and based on Aq Lagna, Jupiter would be malefic----However, lets say D9 is Scorpio lagna with Jupiter lord of 5th house and benefic ?

Do the benefic's in Rashi chart qualify as benefic is in Divisional charts ?
