Transit Positions in Nadi Taken as Part of Config in Chart

Post by Khoo Hock Leong » Fri Jun 20, 2014 6:16 am

Hi Learned Members

We all know in Nadi Astrology the transit positions of Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu are very important. They set the framework in which the results are to be obtained for a period. Within the period, then using the school of Nadi Astrology in Hyderabad set up by a famous astrologer, Parasara Vimsottari dasa period can be used to pinpoint the exact timing together with the help of the transit of the faster moving planets. (POINT ONE)

(This is the inverse of the way which we are normally familiar with in this forum which Parasara Vimsottari Data Period setting the framework (the higher level dasas) and then we use transits or progressions to nail down the nitty gritty periods when things happened, supported with some other methods like the band of periods ruled by each planet based on the age of the person).

The above is gnerally understood within the astrological community.

But Nadi Astrology use transit positions more than that.

The actual transit of the planets, if queried within the appropriate Hora (hour where a question is raised), actually participates in the Yoga (configuration) of the overall chart - first in the Hora Chart then as well as in the natal chart together with the natal position of the corresponding planet, so that you have two positions of each planet in the natal chart (eg. natal Jupiter and transit Jupiter forming some configurations with the other planets). (POINT TWO)

Also in the natal chart, the transit positions of the slower planets can give rise to progressions, so Saturn transit each sign 2.5 years, Jupiter 1 year and Rahu and Ketu each goes through a sign 1.5 years backwards. The natal position of each planet would determine how much more years would the progression of the slow moving planet progresses out of the house in which they are in (note here we use Bhava Chalit Parasara style and not the Rasi chart so each house USUALLY has 2 signs imposed on it). (POINT THREE)

Transit positions between Jupiter with respect to Saturn also has special significance. When Jupiter passes Saturn in transit, usually things get rosier and more concrete. Jupiter is the promoter of all things signfied by Saturn. And Saturn signfies gains and career in Nadi being the natural ruler of the 10th and 11th houses. They are GREAT FRIENDS in Nadi Astrology. One school of thought in Nadi Astrology says that when Jupiter passes over Saturn in transit, the person get 15 years of blessing for sure. (POINT FOUR)

Transit position of Sun gives rise to established authority and governance. It generally predicts the month when things start to happen (POINT FIVE).

POINT FOUR needs qualification - about Jupiter overtaking Saturn in transit and the person gets 15 years of blessing.

Because here the point is about transit Jupiter overtaking transit Saturn, it means everybody exisitng on Earth at that time would have 15 years of blessing.

But how good that blessing would be would depend on the natal positions of the person's chart including the person's natal Jupiter and natal Saturn positions.

Also it depends the subsquent houses which transit Saturn rolls over after Jupiter overtakes it - those are the houses which would "LIGHT UP" since Saturn signfies progression in all things material especially the career and our works according to Nadi Astrology. What progression is made for those houses which Saturn rolls over during the period of 15 years would again depends on the configuration of those houses in the natal chart.

POINT FIVE - Transits are used in the Hora Chart only with respect to Jupiter. This is because Jupiter signifies life in Nadi Astrology and in the Hora Chart we are qualifying an aspect of life. So after reading the Hora Chart, predict Jupiter's transit positions in subsequent years. Then fortell which event would fructify based on the Hora Chart and the respective question - you can have many questions within an Hora hour so one Hora chart can be used to answer multiple questions. Then Jupiter's position in the Hora and its transits in subquent years would give answers when each question would fructify or not (when it does not happen it means Jupiter's presence is unable to save a particular bad Hora chart configuration).
