Which Planet Represents Ego in our Chart?

Post by Khoo Hock Leong » Tue Dec 06, 2016 9:03 am

Hi Learned Members

In Western Astrology it is the Sun as the Sun in Tropical (Western) Astrology shows our outer personality. Tropical Astrology considers ego as good because it is part and parcel of our personality (again represented by the Sun), which people identifies us with and which is used for moulding us in various moulds to fit in the various roles which we undertake, thrust to us by society.

In Vedic Astrology ego it is bad and it is represented by Venus. Remember I said amongst the asuras, Venus holds the top rank unlike in the devas, the top ranks are held by the Sun and Moon and not Jupiter.

Venus can be very egoistic. In the chart, if Venus is strong, the person makes a lot his decisions not through God but through his ego but whether Venus is 12th or 1st or 2nd from the Sun, the Sun's influence is often felt, and since Venus number is 6 which is an expansion of 1 which is the number from the Sun, it shows Venus gets her powers from the Sun actually (the Goddesses in Vedic all get the combined powers of Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma).

If one can tie our Venus with the Sun, then it is no more egoistic. Venus can help us fight a lot of our demons inside PLUS martian characters (Vishnu incarnation figure representing Venus eliminated all the Kashiatreya castes meaning Venus always wins the planetary war even against Mars, the planet of war) if powerful and has closer ties with the Sun.

Venus gets closer ties with the Sun when it is 2nd from the Sun BUT within 30 degrees ie. still within the ambit of the Sun's rays. On the other hand, if you want to be rich, Venus should be 2nd from the Sun BUT after 30 degrees ie. without the Sun's constraint.

Best Regards
Khoo

According to my view, the Sun describes your personal identity and ego. Visit http://www.astrosofa.com for more details.

That is the Western Astrology point of view as I have already mentioned in the post.
