More Information on Numbers

Post by Khoo Hock Leong » 07 Nov 2015

Hi Learned Numbers

Besides the numbers just discussed under the post on Rudraksha beads, there are other ways where you can get information about numbers on the planets. These numbers are then applicable in turn not just to Rudraksha beads but things like how to set up your personal totems, yours and others birthdates characteristics etc.

(1) The Yantras of the planets - there is a base number; numbers that add up to a row, column or diagonal; and the total number pertaining to the overall Yantra. Thus Jupiter base number is 5, 27 is the number that total up either way in a straight line within the yantra and 81 is the total number of the yantra. So 5, 27 and 81 are Jupiter's numbers.

(2) The planet return. So Rahu and Ketu return number is 19 since they take about 18 years to cycle through the zodiac. Jupiter is 13 which means 13 face Rudraksha has Jupiter in it via the representation of Indra (some people consider 13 as a witchcraft number but they forget that Jupiter is strong in the 13th year of a person's life).

(3) The planetary ages. Jupiter's years are 57 to 69. So 57 can be considered Jupiter's number, the start of Jupiter's years. 70 since it is the turning point where you have finally absorbed all of Jupiter's energy. If you look at another way for numbers, Jupiter's fortune fructify at age 16. Still some astrologers has another secondary fructification age as well and Jupiter is no exception. For that you can refer to the website by Sanjay Prahabkaran.

(4) The sign position ruled by that planet. So 9 and 12 are Jupiter's numbers.

(5) The nakshatra position ruled by that planet. So 7 is Jupiter's number because Punarvasu is the 7th nakshatra ruled by Jupiter.

(6) Any esoteric meaning of the number that ties it with certain planets. So 6 is Venus number because of Venus signification of cousins which is the 6th temporal Jaimini significator ie. GK. Jupiter is 3 because of BK.

(7) Any cultural or historical meaning attached to the numbers like 13 mabye because of the Salem's witch hunt. Thus 13 mukhi Rudraksha has all the Devas residing within it and they report to Indra ie. Jupiter.

(8) The tithi number associated with which planet or deity. So Panchami is Jupiter's tithi and is again 5. This is the first and foremost primary means of choosing the Rudraksha suitable for you. This involves the Sun+Moon combination (to form the tithi) and that is why Shiva and Parvarti are intimately tied to the use of Rudraksha beads.

(9) The house ruled by that planet in your chart.

(10) The divisional chart ascendant ruled by that planet. For example Venus rules the Ascendant of my D5, so choosing a number 5 in any area of my life, whether 5 tables for a wedding etc. would bring in Venus signfications.

(11) The aspects and association received by a planet etc. all these factors in the birth chart would show are compound numbers (which usually involved more than one planet) can benefit you.

(12) Day time or night time birth. As you know some planets have more power in the night and some during the day. So correspondingly some numbers are more effective for you.

(13) Scan through the various components of the Shadbala calculation. You can be sure to get some insights on numbers that tie in with the Shdabala concept.

(14) Planets that are retrogade must be carefully scrutinised in the chart to make sure the numbers standing for that planet would give the intended results intended. Retrogade planets always give the opposite picture at first blush if you do not scrutinise properly.

And so on.

Readers can think of other ways of tying numbers to your own personal occult signification. There is no limit.

Best Regards

Yes and also the house where the planet is placed in your chart.

So if you have any planets placed in 11th, and secondarily the 9th and the 10th, these are all good candidates to make use of the numbers 9, 10 and 11. 9 and 11 are fortunate numbers according to Vedic scriptures. 10 gives good karma but there is a bit of a struggle in terms of fortune attainment.

10 is krishna, 9 is durga and 11 is rudra.

The salvation numbers are also 9, 10 and 11 or any compound numbers whose digits add up to these.

All double digit numbers stand for victory like 11, 22, 33, 44 etc.

They have double energy for that digit like 11 for the Sun which is Rama and that is why Hanuman is the 11th rudra serving the Sun. He is mostly Mars.

22 is Moon etc.

The digits when added up, the resultant digit stands for the base energy. Eg. 2 plus 2 is 4 and 4 is Mercury under the concept of numbers discussed within the astrological fold. But under numerology as a separate branch of learning from astrology, 4 stands for Rahu.

So yes, the science of numbers have two separate branches of learning; one tied to astrology and one is not.

By the way 108 is Rahu's number. All the secret functionings of the universe is known through this occult number and hence Rahu.

117 is Ketu's number which is 9 steps further which grants salvation. Ketu represents Ganesha and Durga although some sects assign Rahu to Durga. I would say Ketu is Durga but Rahu represents the warrior attitude of Durga.

So it can be seen to have mastery over material and spiritual aspects of life, the good placement of the nodes are important.

My nodes are placed in the shashtyiamsa non-planetary lord division of "Ruler of the World".

The weekday which the planet rules, is also its representative number. So for Jupiter it is 5.

Notice the numerology related to astrology puts ketu's number as 9. But the science of numerology on its own involving direction of planet assign 9 to Mars and Rahu. Ketu's influence is supposed to be everywhere.

Rahu is assigned to the number 8 in both branches, but the pure branch of numerology, distinct from the two above, assigns Rahu as 4, same with Uranus as mentioned earlier.

Now Ketu is number 9 (remember Durga and the 9 mukhi Rudraksha bead).

108 is also 9 when you add up the digits. Thus 108 is also Ketu number.

108 is both Rahu and Ketu where time stands still. No future no past. The hade of the serpent ties up with the tail of the serpent. That is why the 9th house represents only the 9 planets. There is no karma in the 9th house unlike the 10th house which has a time element.

Time stands still.

In our chart, talking about past lives and future lives :

4th represents the past.

8th represents the cycle of time.

12th represents the future.

But 9th has no time. A person who has a strong 9th house is thus good in prognostication. He can predict the past and future - all collapse into one.

Alternatively if the dispositor of Rahu and the dispositor of Ketu are together, the person is a good prognosticator - both past and future collapse into one. He also collects the amritsar from the churning of the ocean. What he wishes he gets.

if 4th is past, 3rd is the immediate present.

If 8th is cycle of time, the time in the 7th is linear. What you sow is what you get.

If 12th is the future, then 11th is the distant future which we are always striving. It represents our ambition which never ends. 10th is the destroyer of ambitions. It is karma but it is krishna too. 9th is dharma which saves us but 10th if has impressive yogas like the 7th lord goes into the 10th and then 9th and 10th exchange places, is also an abode for those who want to rest in peace. That is why some people give up their job to seek for something more when the 10th is activated.
